In an era of rapidly evolving threats to our schools, most school systems spend countless hours struggling to keep their schools up to speed with the current standards in every area – except for one – school lock downs.
Many schools still depend on color-coded pieces of paper placed under the classroom door or in a window to alert a roving administrator, or designee, to a room’s response status to a threat that might still lurk within those very same hallways.
Although this method has remained the standard for many years, it continues to be slow, one-dimensional, and dangerous; especially if it is the only line of communication.
Quick Image Inc. has developed the next generation in school safety technology by bringing the color-coded status system into the virtual realm; and giving it an emergency communications feature for teachers, administrators, and first responders.
Our Room Status Visualization Program, R.S.V.P., is an internet or LAN (intranet) based program that takes real time computer input from teachers and displays their status to administrators on a virtual diagram of the school – even allowing the teachers to send and receive text messages regarding any important details about their situation. Their status can be updated or changed at any time during the event, allowing administrators and first responders to have real time status of the school.
When the first responders arrive to assist, the administrator can be prepared with an easily printed color-coded copy of the school’s diagram to point out trouble areas and easiest access routes.
Bottom line: R.S.V.P. provides more information in a shorter period of time, and does it without putting anyone in harm’s way.
R.S.V.P. could make the difference between having a successful
response to an emergency situation, or a disastrous one.
We
custom design each R.S.V.P. program
to meet the requirements of your site analysis and local public safety agency
requirements. |
